Prom limo in Toronto: what parents should ask before they book

Published 2026-08-02 · Guides

Ask who the chauffeur is

The first question is whether the chauffeur is licensed for commercial passenger transport, insured and background-checked, and whether the vehicle is inspected on a schedule. Any operator should answer that without hesitation and produce the paperwork on request. If the answer is vague, stop there.

The alcohol rule, and who enforces it

Alcohol is not permitted for passengers under the legal drinking age, and the chauffeur enforces it - not the students, and not on an honour system. Our chauffeurs have the authority to end the trip if it is breached, and we state that up front precisely so nobody is surprised on the night. It is in our terms as well as on the prom service page.

A fixed itinerary agreed with the adult who books

The itinerary agreed at booking is the itinerary driven. No unscheduled stops, no changes negotiated with the group in the vehicle. The parent who books gets the chauffeur's contact and a message when the group is delivered and again when they are collected.

Sizing the group

A stretch limousine takes ten, an executive Sprinter takes fourteen, and a mini coach takes twenty-four and up. For a large graduating group one coach is cheaper per student than three cars and far easier to coordinate - and it keeps everyone together.

Book early, and expect to pay a deposit

Prom season in the GTA is concentrated into a handful of May and June weekends, and the occasion vehicles commit months ahead. Prom bookings are also among the services that may be non-refundable once reserved, which is stated on your trip confirmation - read it when it arrives rather than in June.
