The airport is in the city

Toronto Pearson is inside Mississauga's boundaries, which makes transfers from most of the city ten to twenty-five minutes. Short, predictable and fixed-price. It also means the pickup time calculation is dominated by terminal and check-in time rather than driving time - the opposite of a Durham Region run.

Short does not mean cheap by the kilometre

A ten-minute transfer still requires a vehicle, a licensed chauffeur, positioning time from the garage and a return leg. Judged per kilometre it looks expensive; judged against parking at Pearson for a week, it is not close. For anyone flying more than twice a month from Mississauga, a corporate account is the sensible structure.

The business parks

The Airport Corporate Centre, Meadowvale and the offices along the 401 and Hurontario generate most of our weekday Mississauga work - visiting colleagues from a head office, client visits, and roadshows that start with a Pearson arrival and end at Square One or downtown.

The 5am problem

Early transatlantic departures mean pickups between four and five in the morning, and that is when reliability actually matters - there is no plan B at 4am. Book the night before rather than the morning of, confirm the terminal, and give the flight number so the trip is monitored even on a departure.

Groups and luggage

Multi-generational family travel is common here, and four adults with four large cases do not fit in a sedan whatever the app suggests. A luxury SUV takes six with luggage; an executive van takes seven. Counting honestly at booking avoids a problem at the curb at five in the morning.
