Black car or rideshare: an honest comparison for GTA travel
Where rideshare wins, where a chauffeured car wins, and the specific trips where the price difference disappears entirely.

Where rideshare genuinely wins
A short, spontaneous, low-stakes trip across town on a normal Tuesday. No booking, no minimum, a car in four minutes. We are not going to pretend otherwise, and if that is your trip you should use it.
Where it stops winning
The moment the trip has a consequence attached. A 5am departure for an international flight. A client arriving from Frankfurt. A wedding party. A four-stop day. Rideshare has no obligation to show up, no obligation to send a particular class of car, and no obligation to hold the price it quoted an hour ago.
The surge question
A chauffeured fare is agreed before you travel and does not change because it started raining. Rideshare pricing at 5pm on a Friday, in a storm, or after a sold-out event at Scotiabank Arena, routinely lands above the equivalent black car fare - for a smaller car and a driver who has never done the route.
Luggage and group size
Four adults with four large cases do not fit in a standard rideshare car, whatever the app suggests. They fit comfortably in an SUV or an executive van. Splitting a group across two rideshare cars on an airport run is where most of the horror stories start.
The part that is not about price
A chauffeur is a named, licensed, background-checked professional assigned to your booking, in a vehicle you selected, at a time you agreed. That is a different product from a marketplace match, and it is worth what it costs precisely on the trips where being let down is expensive.

The rest of the trip, booked in one place
We are partnered with BookingWorldwide.net for flights, hotels, resorts, activities, packages and car rentals — so the chauffeur at this end and everything at the far end can be arranged together.
